The following link will take you to the mylifebits web site. This website is associated with Gordon Bell and Jim Gemmell's book, Total Recall. A very good book that I have commented on in various places.

This book (published in 2009 following on from a amazing amount of activity as shown at the mylifebits web site in the e-memory area up to around 2008) predicts a revolution in the personal digital archiving area, but in reality interest in this activity appears to have stalled.
I am not sure of the reason for this; maybe it is just to daunting for most people (I could understand this); maybe people believe that material they produce on applications such as Twitter and Facebook will be a sufficient record and require no more work; maybe it is still not sufficiently in the public's face? or maybe all three.
At least we now have the tools and fundamentals in place to help people digitally archive their life. Perhaps these tools need to be refined and made more user friendly before people will begin to use them in a more pro-active way.
